The point is, nothing bad happens if you fail, they tell you what you have to work on, you work on it, and then you try again.

It was a requirement for my license, must just be here in AZ.

Huh... when I took mine, I got to back up for a mile of a flippy ass road. No parking though, just had to pull over to the side of the road and manage to not end up on the side walk. I got a shitload of points taken off because I didn't turn right on red when there was space though.
