what you see in your pc screen or television screen is a electron that is moving to a sertain point. in the early years this worked with electro magnatics.
you can move this way a electron at a ver high speed to any point on the screen and as you know there are color thingies build in the screen and if it falls right on the blue one that little thingie becomes blue or if it fell over red and blue it becomes purple. hope my explainnation is good.

Actually, at times when playing Crysis the polygon count reached 1million (I'm not sure if this is max polygons possible before optimization, or after optimization)

Blizz reached 5million+, that's, if I'm correct, more than 1million by quite a bit. Either way, I'm fairly ignorant in this, but that's just what I'm observing.
