Dynamic Hero Skills?

I would like to be able to add random hero skills, using triggers, that function as normal hero skills would had they been added using the object editor (you can level them up by spending skill points, for example). I have tried a few things, but have been so far unsuccessful.

If the you've played Danite's Hell on RoC, you'll know what I'm talking about. Can anyone assist?

You'll need 4 (or 5 depending on how many spells each hero may have) base abilities. Then, you'll have to use modified versions of Engineering Upgrade to morph each of these base abilities into correct real ability.

It's a bit complicated, but you could come up with an algorithm for it.

Ah, good idea. It should be possible to have 4 different engineering abilities in a hidden spell book, each with different levels for the random ability to be added. Thank you for the help.
