Font Organization Question

I think this is the right place to ask this question.

Is there any way to organize your fonts when you use GIMP? It's sometimes a pain having to scroll through a lot of fonts just to find the one you want. I usually get a small lag scrolling that list of fonts.

What I really want is if there is a way to make finding the font you want easier without having to delete fonts.

Thanks in advance.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to do that. I would say just to delete the ones you'll never use, like any thing that is just another variation of a font. Like (I'm making this name up) Joe's Font Italic Version.

Unless of course, you really like Joe's Font Italic Version.

Well I guess there really isn't any other way. I suppose I can take out a lot of fonts I got with my computer. The only real fonts I need is Arial and New Romans Times.

Well Thanks.
