Help me crack this code!

My friend was doing a math game with me.. and I am not sure what these numbers mean but he said it comes out to be as an entire word..

the numbers are translated into the word somehow..

here are the numbers: 14-12-13-7-26-20-22

any ideas??

i wrote every letter and went backwards numbers and got that (forward got like nlmvzgt or something)

Hmm.. that seems like it might be correct.. what did you do?

It seems he just went backwards. So "26" going forwards would be 'Z', but if you go backwards it's 'A' (Starting FROM z)

i said how i did it in first post but i guess it wasnt very clear, so read what anthraxxx wrote he explaines it better than me lol
