Hi guys, I'm currently looking for some experienced map maker(s) to work with me on a map I have in mind, since I just started with Sc2 map making it would be great to have someone to help me along so I can learn the ropes.
- OR - if you just wanna be buddies i'd appreciate that too.
Lil about me: I'm new to Sc2 map making, but made many many innovative SC and War3 maps, have a diploma in graphic design (folio: http://tinyurl.com/artelum), and i'm decent at programming. Studying Games Design Diploma at the moment.
Core gameplay aspects:
- Team TD, where you have to select a class such as: Supporter (build walls, stuns), Poisoner (poison towers, life % towers), Carry (DPS towers, splash damage), Sniper, Specialist (anti-air, anti boss etc).
So basically you really have to work as a team and play out your role effectively to win, and you can have pretty creative team class compositions happening too.
- You can place towers everywhere in the map. Inspires the theory - "Do anything to win. Be creative."
-(not decided) Towers of your class are all variations of one tower model, such as a Cannon, or a Sunken. I made the map Cloaked Cannon Defense in Sc1, some 8 years ago i think. It's pretty cool to have unique variations of towers that you are so accostumed to.
- Don't wanna spoil everything that's just a glimpse at some of the ideas I have.
