How can I make terrain totally black?

The title says it all... guys please help me and I really want to know how to make a normal terrain totally black in colour, like walking in space.
And also, I want land units able to walk on the terrain.
Any help would be much appreciated =)

I've achieved this before, with the, as mentioned, Outland - Abyss tile, and using Newgen to make it pathable.

you would need Jass NewGen Pack for that...
Its in Extensions > Edit Tileset Pathability or something

Water still has rippling effects. Space itself isn't very dynamic.

Newgen is pretty much a necessity for manipulating certain aspects of the game.

Also, using water as a movement option is a bit of a hassle; everything will try to swim.

Just use a black glow model and create the effects everywhere you want it to be. You could also use a unit and add its duration.
