Invisible Doodads

While using the editor, I've come across a few doodads that are completely invisible in the editor, while they are visible in game. Metal gate diagonal and metal gate straight are 2 of these invisible doodads which i can place, hear being place, see in game, but not actually see or manipulate in the editor.

Does anyone know what is causing these objects to not show in the editor?

Maybe it's their animation? That's the reason some projectiles won't show up in the editor.

So, there's no way I can actually see where I'm placing these things without randomly putting it down then checking it out in game every time?
