Is there a tutorial that can teach me how to do the folloowing things?

Hi! i want a tutuorial where i could learn how to make models and icons. First i want to know.

1.would there be some sort of special program that i would need to download.
2.i already have somethign with which i can make 3d stuff so if my thing works, to be able to import things into war3 TFT i would need to save the things i make in my program under waht type of save? jpeg,bmt etc. which one? my program could just do the job. thanks

1) I would recomend Milkshape 3D. Or if you want to use Blizzard's tools, use 3D Studio Max 4 or 5

2) You would need to export your models in .mdx format. Here is a tutorial I made that can help you with non-animated models: Scratch Modeling Weapon Attachments with Particle Emitters

My tutorial uses all FREE programs.

EDIT: And about icons, I would use Photoshop with this: Icon Layers

Ok and what are these programes you named and are they free? If yes then i would want to get the place where you got them. Could you send me the links to those who are free that you would recommend for a novice such as me.Thank you

• Magos War3 Model Editor
• Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Modifier
• Oinkerwinkle's Primitives These are starting models
• Warcraft III Image Extractor II
• Warcraft III World Editor Duh...
• Notepad Usually comes with your computor
