Yea right clicking and go to Explore/Open works just fine. It's just that the default is 'open with war3modeleditor'.

No viruses, havent installed anything recently, and yes this is for all folders (not for my computer/C drive.

I'm pretty sure its a simple fix, the way you right click a file and choose "open with" and set the default program to open it with.
But I just don't know how to do that for a folder!

You need to change the default programs Windows/Explorer use.

What is listed if you open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Programs? Are default programs listed there or are they blank?

Default programs are listed there (like word, notepad, itunes, etc), but the war3modeleditor isnt listed there, thats what puzzles me

This might not work, but it might. Download CCleaner and run the cleaner part of it. Check everything, even the grayed out stuff. You can go ahead and uncheck IE, Firefox and Chrome if you wanna keep your history and cookies.

If it doesn't work, I'll look into it, I'm just tired right now, yawn.

Try going to Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs

Hit Make Default and Tell me if IE is not the default web browser.

If this doesn't work go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types > Highlight Folder > Click Advanced
