item - disabling item(like when u get doom)

there are two items...
when i turn on the first item...
the 2nd item is disabled until i turned off the 1st item...
and when i turn on the 2nd item the first item is disabled...
the item has metamorphosis ability...
any ideas for this type of trigger

perhaps you can take the item away, and give it an item that does nothing, but has a similar icon
