Hi guys!
Question 1: Solved

I was just doing a spell when i saw: The action i want doesn't exists :eek:
So i hoped on the great advanctags (sure i spelld it wrong...) of Jass.
I read 3 1/2 tutorials about it. I see Mui and remove lakes. But i dont see any new events, actions or whatever :eek: !!!
Can anybody tell me, how i get those things?:confused: Im really confused.

Question 2: Solved

I read Emjlr3s Jass-tutorial (http://www.thehelper.net/forums/showthread.php?t=34165&highlight=JASS). He tells to DL Jasscraft. But on the link he postet, it redirects me for ever :eek: .
Anybody got solution or maybe another DL link?

I don't think it exists, but don't quote me there. You can only add one :p

You can add as many events to a trigger as you won't. However your not able to remove the events afterwards, unless you destroy the trigger and create it again.

I think he meant the DestroyTrigger function. It isn't possible in GUI unfortunately. maybe with WEU, I'm not using it.

If I want to test my Jass-code and i did something wrong (for example forgot a "(" or smthing like that) Wc3 starts and I have to close it. Is there a way to stop this if a Jass-code is bugged?

Write your JASS in JASSCraft and use parser to check for errors (F9). Then when it dosn' t give you anymore errors you can paste it into World Editor safely.

ookaaaaaaaaay, i dont get it in my map :(

local trigger trig = CreateTrigger()
This saves the trigger in a local?

call DestroyTrigger(trig)
This destroies the trigger?

set trig = CreateTrigger()
And this recreates the trigger?

Declares a local variable, create a trigger and 'store it'* (kinda) in the declared local.

Yes.

It creates a new trigger, not recreates the old one, and stores it in the variable.


*Stores it is not the right term here, handle variables (like a trigger variable) are more like road signs than containers, so you would say that the variable points to the new trigger.

And how does the 3. action know wich trigger it has to create?
Do i have to set somewhere the name of the trigger? I really dont get it.

Question 5:

I let the PC translate the chain-stormbolt-spell (http://www.thehelper.net/forums/showthread.php?t=45533) into Jass. I understood it allmost, but what i dont check: the order of the actions.

s wich change everytime a bit. and then between those, i see the trigger, to set the picked unit, wich is in the GUI-version much more deeper (lol, wrong word) in the trigger. Can some1 explain me this?

Both of the functions in the BooleanAnd are somewhat the conditions you set in the GUI. Look for their references (What they point to)

Care to post the entire trigger?

First: Forget everything you ever learned in the GUI. It wont help you understand this.

A gui 'trigger' is a mixture between one global trigger varaible (gg_trg_<trigger name>), one trigger object (CreateTrigger), one or more event objects, maybe one trigger condition object and one trigger action.
A trigger don't have a 'name' other than in the gui.
A jass trigger object is pretty worthless on it's own, you have to add the actions, events and conditions yourself.
Look at the InitTrig part of a gui trigger converted to jass if you want how to do this.
