Hmm, I was just wondering if say you give your Hero 1 normal spell, already learned at lvl 1, and say he has 3 more spells, and 2 ultimates to learn, Is it possible to say if he learns 1 ultimate he can't learn the other?

Yes, I believe that's possible.. in 2 sec I'll show you the trigger (by editing this post)

Trigger:
  • Only one ultui
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Learns a skill
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Avatar
          • (Level of Avatar for (Triggering unit)) Equal to 0
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Reincarnation from (Triggering unit)
        • Else - Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Reincarnation
          • (Level of Reincarnation for (Triggering unit)) Equal to 0
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Avatar from (Triggering unit)
        • Else - Actions

Not sure if this is working though :p The "Learns a skill" might mean something else :p

Edit: I thought there would be some boolean condition saying "Hero/Unit has ability" but I haven't found it... yet at least ^^
Edit 2: Added integer conditions ^^

Not to make the trigger run if the unit already learned one of the abilties :p
Edit: You could make "Or - multiple conditions" for the elseifs' conditions and include "Level of ability for unit NOT equal to 1, 2, 3 etc."

Ill try it quick ->:
Trigger:
  • Paladin Ulti
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Learns a skill
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Avatar
          • (Level of Avatar for (Learning Hero)) Equal to 0
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Resurrection from (Learning Hero)
        • Else - Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Resurrection
          • (Level of Resurrection for (Learning Hero)) Equal to 0
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Resurrection from (Learning Hero)
        • Else - Actions

Well, this is what I got... but it doesnt work

Because if you check that a learned ability is level 0, it won't work since it checks after it is learned, you need to see that it is NOT level 0.

Hmm, no it's removing the learned ability, but wasting a skill point and it doesn't remove the chance to learn the ability:thdown:

Isn't there an action that removes the possibility to learn new spells of a type in the Hero section? I know that removing an ability only removes the ability that is learned, and not preventing it from being learned again.

And you are using the 'Remove Reincarnation from (Learning Hero)' on both instances, try changing the bottom one to Avatar instead.

Trigger:
  • Paladin Ulti
    • Events

        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Avatar
          • (Level of Avatar for (Learning Hero)) Not equal to 0
        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Resurrection from (Learning Hero)
        • Else - Actions

        • Then - Actions
          • Unit - Remove Avatar from (Learning Hero)
        • Else - Actions

Hmm, now its just removing the one ability and switching it with the other
EDIT: Hmm, checked and I couldn't find an action that removes the possibility of learning the skill:banghead:

Try making a dummy spell instead (channel) that, when casted, brings up a dialog box that can be clicked, giving you the spell that you pressed?

I could try that:p
EDIT: Although that would make it uninviting for ppl that say haven't played that hero before and don't know what the spell does, I still want them to see the tooltips etc

Then make the learned ability say;

Learnable Abilities (this is the ability name)

Reincarnation
(Your text here)

Avatar
(Your text here)

That is what I'm using to have multiple passives on the same icon, works pretty good.

So you want to learn only one ulti?
Once you learn one the onther ulti cannot be learnt.

Unit learns a skill

if learnt hero skill equal to avatar then remove reincarnation from triggering unit.

If learn hero skill equal to reincarnation then remove avatar from last created unit.

EDIT!! Also add a turn off this trigger into both of the if/then/else. This will stop the trigger running everytime someone learns a spell.

Removing a skill only removes it from the action bar, not from the skill menu.

Ultimate Choice

This is how I would do it:

Trigger:
  • One Ultimate
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Learns a skill
    • Conditions
      • Or - Any (Conditions) are true
        • Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Reincarnation
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Avatar
    • Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Reincarnation
        • Then - Actions
          • Player - Disable Avatar for (Owner of (Triggering unit))
        • Else - Actions
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Learned Hero Skill) Equal to Avatar
        • Then - Actions
          • Player - Disable Reincarnation for (Owner of (Triggering unit))
        • Else - Actions
      • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)

You could also take off the (or - conditions) statement and put the (trigger - turn off (this trigger)) command in the Then statement of each If/then.

Also If you want to give them the ability back for any reason later on just do the opposite and enable the ability then give it to the hero.

Good luck mate
