Discussion Looking for a good web host

I have a friend that needs a place to host her website it is going to be a very basic site basically a wordpress blog with some images and very low traffic. The blog does not have to be wordpress either it can be something else if it is easier this is a basic thing. If it is Wordpress though it has to be able to host a wordpress blog and have PHP which I think they all do LOL. I messed around with squarespace but found it very frustrating, just like I am finding Wordpress frustrating as well.

I was going to recommend Squarespace for the inexperienced as it seems to get good reviews. That said, if Wordpress is where you're leaning they do offer hosting plans directly:

It notes they include a domain but you can also bring your own registered elsewhere (which is what I would recommend).

Shared web hosting these days is such a cesspool.... I would just look at reviews.
