Quick question.

Just a quickie here. Exactly how long does a special effect last. say i add a special effect to the head of a unit. Does it last indefinitely? Or is there a duration to how long it will be there(however long it might be). Please answer only if you are very sure of it.

You mean how long will an effect loop through it's animation, or what ?
Or just how long does one animation "run" last ?

I meant, each special effect got an animation time. When that animation times over, the sfx goes away.

The latter. How long would say a Lich attack projectile (special effect) last on a unit's weapon attachment.

Well, just pick the effect in the Object Editor (Just "hover" it in an "Effects" field or something) and you'll be able to see it in the small window in the Terrain Editor

Not entirely true... Actually, most effects will still sully play their current animation (At least) even if destroyed by triggers... Just a "Note"

Sfxs doesnt show until you remove them.They shows up until the animation is over, and then its just the memory hows over from the sfx, which leaks.

and leaking can cause really bad lag if leaked too seriously
