Sloppy Joe Casserole with Manwich
This quick and easy Sloppy Joe Casserole recipe makes a hearty dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup onions, diced
- 1 (15.5 oz) can Manwich sauce
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 3/4 lb farfalle pasta, uncooked
- 8 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 cup corn, frozen or drained from a can
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- Large skillet
- 9 x 13-inch casserole dish
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat
- Add diced onions and continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are softened
- Drain any excess grease
- Stir in the Manwich sauce, chicken broth, and undrained diced tomatoes, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil
- Add the uncooked farfalle pasta, submerging it into the mixture and then mix well
- Cover the pot and let it simmer gently, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking
- Lower the heat and mix in the corn
- Add the cubed Velveeta cheese, covering the pot to allow the cheese to melt fully
- Once melted, stir to combine everything evenly
- Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish, spreading it out evenly
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top
- Cover and bake for 15 minutes
