lol this is a great way to crash your computer hehe
You have an event 'unit enters townarea'
You then in the action create grunts in the town area. And when you create these grunts in that region, the game is gonna see these grunts in the region and go 'hey some units have entered this region', and then fire the trigger off, once for every unit who entered the area.
So basically this is what happens:
- unit enters region for first time
- trigger fires, 10 grunts are created in that region
- 10 units have now entered the region, so trigger fires 10 times
- now 10x10 = 100 grunts have entered the region
- 100 grunts have entered the region, so trigger fires 100 times
etc. etc. until your game crashes
2 possible fixes:
add this condition:
(unit-type of entering unit) not equal to grunt
or add these actions:
trigger - turn off this trigger <= must be the first action
wait 1 second
trigger - turn on this trigger <= these 2 should be the last actions
i used the stop trigger at the end... with the condition as my hero... and added little regions for each grunt... works great... now i just need to figure out why it wont skip to my next load of triggers =)
fixed some of them... can't get the quest - update quest description and quest - create a requirement and quest - mark as completed to work... lol... i used em before and they worked, i'm just rotating them around and putting them in different places... worked for the other problem
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
I will be AFK for a couple of days you guys hold down the fort while I am gone. I will be checking in on my phone but that will severly limit me. Be back saturday!
