My computer runs war3 the game just fine. i have all the requirements. but the editor wont respond. anyone have any ideas why? Or solutions to my problem. Please help.

Hey, you might consider copying the install files (or mpq files) from your cd into the war3 folder. Then go into the registry by pressing start --> run "regedit". Then go to HKEY Local Machine --> Software --> Blizzard --> Warcraft 3 (or whatever) and then it has a listing in there for "War3CD" or something like that. You can change the value to be the path to the war3 folder on your hard drive. It sometimes fakes the program out enough to force it to run. Play around with those registry settings and see if that helps.
