Does anyone have any idea to move regions (in a trigger)?
World Editor says it can't be done unless the region is a variable, but I tried making a region variable, assigning it, and moving it, and still nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Can't remember if I've done this before, I think maybe I never got it to work, because all I remember doing with regions is creating them via triggers.
In these situations, you need to output as much test data to the screen in the game as possible. Here are some examples:
if u move a region somewhere else, if a unit is inside the region after moving it, then test to see if the unit is actually inside it or not:
action:
if [region contains unit] <region x> contains (unit) then do <game - display "unit is in region"> else do <game - display "unit is not in region">
get the idea? just flood ur screen with test strings!
oh yeah, make sure the test strings have meaning too......
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
