D-don't double post, there's an edit button for that very purpose. And some of these items feel like they've got DotA inspired abilities in them.

Sorry, but not much. Because they are boring, they don't give you strategic option.

Check this new item which I recently implemented to map.

Grand Staff of Archideas

Lock bonuses:
[int item]
+7% spell damage
[two int items]
-30 mana

Slots:
[1] Booster slot
[2] Booster slot
[3] Support slot

See? There is simple but strategic option:

You can add two int items and get +14% bonus spell damage, but your max mana will drop by 30,
or.. you can put just one int item, get 7% bonus spell damage and don't lose any mana, which would not be clever since you can put mana item to Support Slot and compromise lost mana. :)

Your thread can help many men to improve their ideas making a better map, like this you did to me, i think you should to it to the hero ideas, just judge hero ideas to improve men thinking a better concept, even it is not for your map.
Now I got it.
BTW the helm i did was only for balancing purposes, if someone wants hp regen and a little defense he can add, defense items and then they will help him have more time until killed/escape in/from a battle, but also increasing when all slot filled a combative ability (+500 as for 1 sec) and vice versa for someone who wants attack and when all slots filled have a +200 max hp.
I think you are right for the frozen armor, but think a slow resistance ability would be very interesting.

Just get the concept not the stats.

EDIT:Oh BTW (again) 30 mana is nothing for int heroes, you should add a max health booster item (think Combative)


EDIT2:I think you should make item upgrades e.g you buy 1 additional same item (let's say the +150 hp)and you put them together in a unit that makes them 1 and gives +250 hp
you should say why 250 and not 300 hp? It is simple, you could have 2 items that give 300 hp but they take 2 slots, or you have 1 that gives +250 hp and then add another item that will help you more.
Don't make all items upgradeable, and if you like the idea, just put a small fee to the combiner machine.

gloves of stuck
5% chance to bush the attacked unit and also to deal 30 (example) extra damage
can be used in a recipe


armor of slow
10% chance to slow the unit which is attacking you attack speed for a while

fader (armor)
8% chance for the unit which is attacking to you to miss an attack

(i know I am not good at names :shades: )
(what your map needs is more heroes and less spells just know it)
