HI all,

I seem to have problems with the enabling of doorstates.

I checked lost of other maps, with the same sort of doors and
tried their triggers, but none worked.

I'm using "upper level doors" from the "Installation
Terrain", left door to be exactly.

I used :

Condition :
Always.

Actions:
"Toggle" doodad state for "Left Upper Level Door"
at "Manager's Door".
PRESERVE TRIGGER

---OR---
Conditions:
Always.

Actions:
"Enable" doodad state for "Left Upper Level Door"
at "Manager's Door".
PRESERVE TRIGGER

---OR---
Conditions:
"Current Player" brings "At Least 1" "Any
Unit" to "Manager's Door"

Actions:
"Enable" doodad state for "Left Upper Level Door"
at "Manager's Door".
PRESERVE TRIGGER

+++AND+++
Conditions:
"Current Player" brings "At Most 1" "Any
Unit" to "Manager's Door"

Actions:
"Disable" doodad state for "Left Upper Level Door"
at "Manager's Door".
PRESERVE TRIGGER

Just so you know,

enabling the doorstate means to close it
disabling means to open it.

yeah I know,

So why doesn't the 2nd trigger work?

It says enable when none is there and disable when some unit is there ?

That's why I'm confused with this

the at most trigger is meant for limiting units at the location... try using at least instead of at most.

Hi all,

Well Ilendil,

It's actually supposed to close if nobody's there, and it may NOT work for computerplayer(enemy).

So that's why I use the at most, if there's nobody there it should close.

Hi all,

Here's some more help :

Thanx to "Display text message" I figured out that the triggers are deffinitly executed, it's just that the doodad state won't change.

I'm sure it's a "left upper level door"(doodad:wall) from installation terrain, not those with a yellow and black line on them(doodad:substructure), so I'ld really appreciate some help here.

If you don't want a computer to open the door... change current player to the human forces or player.

It might help if you can attach a map to your next post.

Hi again,

Yeah sorry forgot that :p

Here it is, it's an existing map, just making it more interesting and bug free ;-) .

The location is close to the top left corner, and the triggers are all the same for players 1,2,3,4,5,6 , so you just need to change one.

I got the doors in one of my campaign maps to work fine with the command trigger. Like this:
1.
c- current play commands the least of any unit at location door
a-enable doodad state for all door at location door
preserve trigg

2.
c-current play brings atleast x units to location door
a-disable doodad state for all door at location door
preserve trigg

It should work i think....

Hi all,

Nope that didn't work GARM, t's very weird, cause the trigger is really being executed, just the doodad wont change state.

Tried so many things now even stuff that works for others, I really am confused.

Yeah I tried that once, with my feet then not a hammer, all I got from it was a big crack in my tower next to my on/off switch :p.

Hi HELLSS,

Well i've been to your site before, I tried every set of triggers you had on doors, but none worked.

And for everybody else, dont send urls or any other mumbo jumbo, trust me I always search a whole lot before posting something on the forum.

I'm not just some stupid ass mapmaker who doesnt even know basics.

No offence HELLSS it's just I keep getting these msges everywhere,even on starcraft forums.Someone even posted your url there ;-).
And btw the prob on your doortriggers is about opening all doors, i have 1 door and the state wont change at all, its closed and it stays closed forever, I even copied triggers from other games with the same doors that do the same action and it still didn't work.

Let me get one thing straight... you can't open multiple doors with of the same type without using a different location on each door.

Enable All Left upper level doors at managers door for all players
presserve trigger

Conditions
Current player brings at least 1 any unit to managers door
Actions
Disable all left upper level doors at managers door for all players

Hi Ilendil,

Well, dont really see where your're getting at, there's just 1 door on the map, and it wont work, that's the only problem there is.

And whats with the "All upper level", you cant choose to set all, you can only choose what kind of door u will use.
And another thing, the door may NOT be opened by the computer enemy, that's what i'm trying to prevent.

and if you dont want the computer to use it just make the trigger for the force instead of players, the force with humans

You gave me those triggers on your previous post, so I allready have tried them and it still didn't work.

Just to let you all know, it seems to me that the triggers you(everybody) sent me really do work, but my doodad wont change his state, dont know why.

make sure ur picking the correct door type, and i give those triggers work 4 me ill think later abput it
