black lightning effect?

hey all...

like the title says is it possible to have a black lightning effect? and if how?
because i tried several ways (changing alpha & coloring in different combinations) but i just get it to be completely invisible or have the color of the original effect (or red, green or blue)....but i need a black one for one of my spells....
if its not possible ill use no lightning effect but it would look much cooler with a black lightning effect between the 2 units xD

Not really. Lightning in WC3 has an additive blend mode, and you can't use negative values, so it can never darken the screen. The closest would be to use a dark ribbon projectile (eg. AvengerMissile, the Obsidian Destroyer's missile) and move it very quickly.

Isn't custom lightning possible? I made an orange blue lightning. Though never tried making the skin black.
