I just wanted to know how hard would it be to code this.
Basically its a spell where you turn it on, instant-cast, then a boomerang appears at your position. It will randomly select a target and triggers will slide it to that target until it gets close enough and then damages it, and selects another target again and repeats the process, but if there are no targets, the boomerang will stay at the caster's position until there is a target to be able to be hit, also a unit cant be hit twice.

Anyone knows how to code this :D

You can have a Unit Group which will add the Attacked Unit to the Group until the glaive dies..

I know, but its the sliding part that confuses me..Not sure how many triggers it would use, unless in Jass..

Why do you need slide if you can just command the Glaive Unit to attack random units near it anyway?

well, it's been done in Anime Fight, Sango hero.
Why do you need slide if you can just command the Glaive Unit to attack random units near it anyway?
well, may be it's because the speed is more than 522?

anyway, it wouldn't be too hard.
> create a dummy glaive, set up a timer
> pick every enemy unit in the area (put it into group A), choose a random one
> slide it to the target.
> use if action to see if the target been hit or not.
> if it has, put the target into group B, and remove it from group A. choose another target from group A.
> repeat it
BTW, you need to pick the unit group all the time, and make sure there's no unit in group B that's in group A (hint: matching condition)

Because, a boomerang is suppose to be moving quite fast... There is also a possibility that the glaive will not hit a target if the target's movespeed is fast enough.

im pretty sure this isnt what your looking for, but its usefull all the same. throws a tri blade at specified location that bounces off walls and doodads. if you thro it through fire it catches fire, bloodys when it hits units, catchs items, and arcs bak to you like a boomerang. pretty usefull in my opinion:p

are you sure? I don't really think it's actually that difficult... I could make one for you, if you really need it...

Talking is easy. ;)

And also, I think a boomerang doesn't slide with just exact same speed from start to end. It will move slower, and when it returns, the reverse.

Yes I'm sure it's freakin' hard (at least for me) to be able to let it work correctly.
