Cache questions

I have read mems' sliding guide in the tutorial section, but I was curious what more is there to using game cache. Can I use game cache to attach variables to anything other than timers? What other uses can I get from it? Or even better, does anyone know a more in depth guide to using game cache?

I'm afraid this isn't JASS, by the way.

Game Caches are useless on B.Net, since they can't be saved in multiplayer.

Gamecaches are extremely useful on bnet.

Used in all those "caster systems", or "handle vars", and all the other names those systems go by.

I'd suggest a search on handle vars.

so I read through all 14 results from the "handle vars" search and the best thing I came up with was Daelin's advanced Jass tips (which I had read already and pretty much explains the same thing mems' guide does). That's it then?
