Consecutive Hex

I am trying to make a spell that is based off hex. Every second after the hex has been casted, all enemies within a 250 AOE of another hexed unit will become hexed for the remainder of the duration of the original hex.

The ability has 3 levels and the duration is 2/3/4

I have made the original ability and I have made 3 dummy abilities each lasting 1/2/3 seconds, all i need help with r the triggers

Ok, one question: does only one unit have this, or can multiple units cast it?

If only one unit can cast it, it simplifies the situation a great deal; you can use waits.

So, it would look something like this...

Unit Group - add Target Unit of Ability Being Cast to HexGroup
[COLOR="DarkGreen"]Wait 1.00 seconds of game time
Unit Group - pick every unit in HexGroup and do:
  Set tmpUnit: Picked Unit
  Set L: Position of tmpUnit
  Set G: Units within 250 radius of L matching Matching Unit is an enemy of tmpUnit equal to True
    Unit Group - pick every unit in G and do:
    Unit - create 1 Dummy at L for Owner of tmpUnit facing Default Building Facing Degrees
    Unit - add Hex to Last Created Unit
    Unit - set level of Hex for Last Created Unit to ((Level of Ability Being Cast for Triggering Unit) - 1)
    Unit - order Last Created Unit to Orc Shadow Hunter - Hex Picked Unit[/COLOR]
    Unit - add Last Created Unit to HexGroup

Loop the green text three times.
tmpUnit, L, G, and HexGroup are Unit, Point, Unit Group, and Unit Group variables respectively. L and G are temporary variables.
Freehand, too, so expect errors aplenty.

I know theres leaks, ignore that, but why is it bugging out?

When I cast the spell, the caster stands there doing nothing with the ability highlighted but not activating

Few things to list:
You're using center of playable map area. Not the HexPoint1.

And, you're not ordering the hex, nor adding an expiration timer.
Lastly, you should add the picked units to the hexgroup.

Is it built off of hex, by the way? I assumed a point-target spell.

It may be to do with the ability itself

nvm, i gave it an 800 second casting time, WOOPS, ty for ur help

I was wondering why nothing would disrupt casting except for manually stopping it o_O
