Custom units in bear form

I need to make a custom creep in bear form.
For some reason, this won't work, unless I give him Druid of the Claw master training. Can anyone think of a way around this?

Try adding 'alternateex' to the required animation name field. It will look like a druid in the editor, but look like a bear in the game.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to make sure that you are basing the unit off the bear. There is a known bug in the editor that doesn't allow units to use special animations if you didn't base the unit off the correct unit.

How do I make them stackable?

Well you can't buy, for example, a tome, and then buy another tome, and get the new tome to stack on top of the old tome.

You can buy items in bulk, however, by changing the 'number of charges' field to your desire.

Addendum: If you're clever, you could give the illusion of items stacking via some triggering.
