Damage Reducer Not Working (+rep)

So I created a damage reducer skill based off of war drums.

The the damage increase I put in these values:

1: -50%
2: -40%
3: -30%
4: -20%
5: -15%
6: -10%
7: -5%
8: 0%

What I wanted was level one to be half damage, level 2 60% damage, and so on. However what actually happened was that the damage for level 1 was negative normal damage.

For example: A forest troll with a base of 100 hp and 5-6 damage had stats that read:
HP: 51
Damage: 5-6 -12

(The HP is what I wanted it to be but the damage is way off)

Any help is appreciated with +rep :)

It's a damager reducer...

The negative 50%, for example, is supposed to subtract 50% damage, reducing the damage in half. Instead, its acting as a -200%, making the damage negative

EDIT: Beat me to it. Is there anyway to reduce damage without a -xxx after it? (Like a 5-6 damage would become 2-3 or something?)

There's no way without replacing units to not have the -X.
Change the values around also;
Try putting 50% last and 0% first.

Okay just tried it and damage with one player was normal damage. I'll try again with -5% to see how it goes.

EDIT: Ahhh figured out that the numbers weren't percentage. When I put in -5, it ended up doing the -200% thing again. So I put in -.3 and it ended up reducing (nearly) all of the damage. (Not negative)

EX: A 5-6 had a -4 instead of a -12
A 12-24 had a -16 instead of a -48
