Different search results when logged out?

While helping another member in the WEHZ (with snark and an attempt to encourage use of the search feature), I found that search results seem to be different whether you're logged in or out.

While logged out, typing "random" into the search box in the corner of the forum gave the results in the screenshot in the linked post. If I repeat the search while logged in, I get much different (and much less useful) results; and I get yet different results if I attempt to match the settings while logged in that were present on the CAPCHA page when I did the logged-out search.

I'm going to guess that vBulletin has different query structures if you are logged in versus logged out. This could possibly lead to a discrepancy between the threads returned between the two. It's possible they are simply in a different order, which is what I would suspect the most.

Maybe it displays threads you've seen/browsed before first if you're logged in?
