Directly oening a map on double click

When I first installed Warcraft, all maps had the same icon like the editor. Then, I don't know what happened, but some time later all maps started looking like this:

And when I double click a map, the editor opens, but I have to drag the map manually to open it.
I've been messing with the registry and FTYPE and ASSOC commands in the command prompt, but it didn't help. Maybe I even made the situation worse
Pls if someone knows how to restore my maps to look like this

and open directly without doing the tedious reinstalling of W3?

I believe you can right click one of the files and choose it to always be openend with World Editor, just find and choose the .exe file.

I already have, before the maps had the icon for files that windows doesn't know how to open. I did the usual: Double click -> Open With -> Select W.E. from the list -. check "Always open file with blabla..." and this is the result.
