As the title states, whenever I copy a part of the directory (specifically, a folder) to the USB flash drive, it's contents' filenames (including the folders within the main folder) turn into random gibberish of weird special characters. The original folder name, however, doesn't change.

In between the copying, however, an error appears (0x80070570) saying the file might be corrupted.

Also, after doing this, it cannot be deleted or shredded. So the only way to completely erase it off is to reformat the USB back (FAT32)

The thing is, after further investigation, the filenames inside doesn't change until the error from above appears.

No screen shots for now. I'll "try" to do it again and make a screenshot of it. I just wish this won't break the USBs though. (and no, it's not a problem of the flash drive)

When pulling the USB from your computer, do you safely eject it first?

When plugging in the USB into your computer, do you let the computer scan the files first?

Have you tried the USB drive on different computers to make sure it's the USB and not the computer?
