I don't like the border color though. Doesn't go well with the overall color scheme.

That's why it's called "Negative Colours" son .

same to Whiteshock, but its not blurred, I smuged it all over , creates a nice crayon looking effect.

I'm not really into that kind of effect. Thats probably why I don't like it as much.

Also, I don't play doom, so I have no idea what the render is...but it looks cool!

Clearly, I'm not an expert, and that's not so bad.

But you need a border or something that'll attract people's attention to the centre of it (the picture).

Darkening the edges often helps, anyway good job keep it up .

EDIT: I made some changes, subtle changes, but they do make a big difference.
