Google Spider in Guests List?

Recently I found in the Guest List, a guest called Google Spider. Weird, doesn't it?

It's not a guest, but a program from google that "crawls" over the site, bookmarked certain words and such to make searching for the site easier.

They help make TH.net and the WET page number one for searching for WC stuff

Correction - World Editor Stuff. WET and the forums rules the search engines for mapping help and tutorials but not the General Warcraft Keywords.

Thehelper performs pretty good at starcraft stuff too. "Starcraft lag" and you have thehelper.net in the top
It was because of that my friends realized that thehelper is other things than mapping.

It is actually like that every day but now with the forum upgrade it properly shows the names of the robots in who's online.

Yes, this upgrade is going to cause a landslide of spiders however the site template did change last week when I removed the link to Negafox's site (his forum had been spammed by advertising bots and the posts were still there after a month) from affiliates which would have changed most of the pages of the site (except the archive).

When the Search Engine robots notice that the site has changed, and on every page they will do what is called a deep crawl, or come and visit every page on the site to update the Search Engine index. When this happens we will have bots all over the site - even more than we have on now.

Will be Spiders from Yahoo!, Google, MSN and other search engines?

Yes, however the Google and Yahoo spiders are the only ones of significance. They will actually go through every page on the site. The other spiders will visit but they are hardly noticeable.
