Every time i try to make an ability, tryen to make a new morphing abilities, i get a messege on the map editor screen saying :
Missing String: Data-WESTRING_AEVAL_HBN1 = 0.00
Missing String: Data-WESTRING_AEVAL_HBN2 = 1.00

I dont think its affecting anything(not that i can see in game) but im just wondering what this means.
These 2 data strings show up every time you create a new ability, along with every other annoying data string there is.
Anyway,i'm just wondering what this is, and if it has anything to do with my abilities.

I think they definitely means "errors" about the morphing abilities..

but this happens with any abilities i try to manipulate, even the simple ones. and the abilities i made still work(with some minor bugs i can work out on my own). anyway i tried a messing with the strings on a different ability and same thing happens, i've tried setting one or the other and then both together, but without knowing what there used for its kinda pointless, anyway, please help me

Hm... I think I've had this same kind of error. :) I think it has something to do with the internal text string files within the MPQ. I assume that because they use WESTSTRING a lot in em'. You should probably try reinstalling wc3.

What do you mean by "messing with the strings". Do you just mean tooltips?

well i gotta say, thats the worst news yet . but thanks for the tip.
what i mean by "messing" with them is simply changing the numbers around randomly to see if it had any visable "in game/test map" result. if you use the map editor and create new ability, westring hbn1 is set to 0, and hbn2 is set to 1.00 (not in custom campaign but the regular object editor).
But of course if it goes as deep a reinstalling then i probly wouldnt "see" anything wrong.
ok, so im afraid to ask and i hope im wrong, but by reinstalling, do i have to start my custom campaign over again? or can i just store it on my external drive and then slip it back in after installing?

well good news or bad, just let me know
thanks again PurgeandFire

Your custom campaign should be stored within your WC directory. You can copy it elsewhere. I have this "problem", too, at rare occasions, but I don't believe there's any negative effects coming with it. If you don't want to re-install you can just bear with it.
(Or you could extract the WC MPQ from your WC3 disc and exchange it with the one in your game directory. Better save your campaign before, just to be sure.)
