I got mod when I only had maybe around 200 rep. Like DDRtists.
I had more posts than that, though.

In reality, it isn't that good of a represenation. There are people who have rep that shouldn't, and vice-versa.

I guess it is about helpfulness which leads to rep.

But without the rep, some admins can't tell if your helpful unless they view your posts. Some read your rep log, but that probably doesn't apply for moderation.

Answering a question that is asked to someone else is not the best way to prove your point...

Rep is not meaning less. It shows who people are. You can tell lots about people from it.

do they ask for it? Do they not ask for it? Do they ask for -rep? Do they say don't rep me?

Thats why I think it is important. Not that it means your better, but how you get it shows what type of person you are.

However, I am proud of one pointless thing I did. My 2 Hell vs Heaven (WC3 game) threads have brought a lot of people to this site. If you type Hell vs Heaven in Google my threads pop up first Even though theres an official IGN game called Heaven vs Hell (a close name to it).

*cough* If there was suddenly a flood of "visitors" and people who can't speak english to save their life becuase of that thread... it wasnt me *cough*

I really wouldnt care if I was a mod or not. Ive been trying to get more involved and go other places in the site besides the WC forums

But ya, when your a mod don't you quickly lose rep and status if your not active? And does active mean posts or logging in activity? Becuase Im on here about 4 times a day for some reason and I barley ever post.

Green is only on frag-forums lol. Surprisingly on the website that I moderate doesn't have that much to do. But on a very active website administering and moderation is key because TH net people are so active. I tried to get mod here first, but it was too hard so I stopped . Now I just post for fun :shades:.
