How do you get rid of Illidan's fire footsteps?

I would like to know, if its possible, if you can get rid of Illidan's fire footsteps he leavs behind, since my game is very tactical i dont want footsteps laying around that people can follow, and i know the footsteps for illidan only last like 3 seconds or w/e i still dont want them there.. plz help me get rid of them if possible

its part of the model itself, the only way to get rid of it is to edit the model.

but i am sorry i dont know of a way to but i think i have seen a game where they did it. they may have edited the model like he said but thats all i know

if you need to edit a model, try my modeling tutorial. placing in models without any changed skin should be easy. just use the animationed controller to see if it still leaves footprints. but besides that it should be easy to find and eliminate the footprints.
