How to Check a Game Version?

I have heard a few people make mention of this, though never fully understand it. Is there a way to check the version of a game with trigger? that way if say, someone were to deprotect it, add a cheat pack, and reprotect it, it wouldn't work? I have actually had this happen to my map about a dozen times, and it gets annoying when people report "bugs" on my forum because people are adding hacks and hosting their versions of my map. If I can check what map is being hosted, or even the file size, or anything that would be along the lines of "map specific" to catch people with too little of editing skill to find and remove the trigger...
