How to make a simple behavior/effect

I am trying to build a real simple behavior but need a little help.
The idea is simple.

Whenever a marine walks near another marine, I want that Marine to STOP.

I created a Behavior called StopMarineNearAMarine
that runs a periodic Search Area Effect called SearchForMarine.

The SearchForMarine effect only seems to be able to run effects on units in the search area, and not on the unit doing the searching ( the marine walking by)

I dunno what exactly you are using, but you coult try to change target unit to source unit in the executed effect.

Well i made good progress. The search area includes the marine doing the searching, so you have to set exclude to source it looks like.

well maybe not .... i have no clue

your SEARCH AREA should continually search for a marine.

when it finds a marine it should... use an EFFECT.

the EFFECT should then should be of the type "issue order"

abilty - stop
target - caster (or origin or whatever works)
