How to make units patrol as a group instead of separately?

Hi all, I have a group of multiple units which have different move speeds. How do I order them to PATROL TOGETHER as a group(ie, follow the movement speed of the slowest moving unit) instead of patrolling individually ?

You can put them in a unit group and use the group order action.
Note: this only works on 12 units at a time, same as when you do it by hand.

thanks for the reply. Do i need use the "add unit group to unit group trigger" ? do i need to name the unit group coz i have many such different patrol groups that are seperate from each other ?

It all depends on where your units are coming from.


The slow way:
Unit group - Clear UnitGroup
Unit group - Add <unit 1> to UnitGroup
Unit group - Add <unit 2> to UnitGroup
Unit group - Add <unit 3> to UnitGroup
...
Unit group - Order UnitGroup to <some action> to <somewhere>


On pre-placed units, you could put them in regions, 12 or less per region, and something like this:

Set UnitGroup = Units in <region>
Unit group - Order UnitGroup to <some action> to <somewhere>



(Where "UnitGroup" is a variable of type "unit group".)



"It doesn't work" is not a very good problem description.
Posting the trigger might help...
