If you set a local in JASS,

Can you use it in GUI and hence get MUI while being mostly GUI?

You can't create, access, or modify local variables without doing it directly in JASS, or in GUI via the custom script action.

Well it is possible to replace a global variable with a local...but I highly recommend that you do not do this and use Jass instead. Why? Because this way you can't have much control of it...you wouldn't know if you use it in the wrong place where it still counts as a global.

I tried using locals as locals in GUI, but I didn't know to set the globals to use locals. I'm only going to use it for points and units, anyways.
