How can I link the icon of a disabled object to the icon of an enabled object?

i have been pondering the same thing but i think i have some sort of an answer:
i imported an ability icon for my halo footies map and when you go into the "learn skill" menu thing, the icon turns to a big green square when disabled. but, (and i dont know if this is just convenience) i imported the DISBTN file (disabled version of the icon) and it automatically replaced the green square with the disabled button. hope this is clear enough i suck at explaining things sometimes :) ;)

I imported both icons. Yet, the disabled icon doesn't appear when it is supposed to.

OOPS thank you for the correction Spastic, I really should have just copied and pasted what I wrote from the FAQ. But then Mind you should have just read what I wrote there yourself, not sure why you didn't.

When naming your icons, make sure you put the letters "BTN" at the start of the BTN icon filename. Put "DISBTN" at the start of the DISBTN icon filename. e.g. BTNAxe.tga , DISBTNAxe.tga

When importing your icons into your map, use the import manager, and:

For the BTN icon, set the import path to:

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\

For the DISBTN icon, set the import path to:

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\

Ignore what I wrote earlier (I am deleting it anyway).
