Is warcraft 3 editor same as the starcraft 2?

I didnt know where to post this so i posted it here excuse me.

Wich are the differences? is it harder? same triggers function? i know terrain editor is more improved, is it the same with the triggers?

The Starcraft II editor is 10 times more difficult to work with. But it is also 10 times better.

Basically, everything takes more work, but in the long run you can do a lot more stuff with it.

The warcraft editor is a nice toy to make warcraft maps.
It is designed to make custom melee maps for the standard warcraft game.
Custom maps with own gameplay are possible but not supported since the editor was not originally designed for such a purpose.

The starcraft 2 editor is designed for full flexibility and possibilities without borders (exept obvious ones).
You might imagine how much more complex it is to work with it though. You need almost professional experience to work with that thing to its fullest.
