Who's the Big Winner in the Great iPhone Escape?

In a move sure to please all super geeks in the United States, the Library of Congress' Copyright Office has made a key exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to let us legally jailbreak our iPhones.

Hell, it's about time.

Anyways, I would NEVER own an iPhone that wasn't jailbroken. The stock iPhones suck.

The term "Jailbreaking" in the iPhone world, means to "unlock" your iPhone so it can do many things it can't do stock, and so you can use 3rd party apps that weren't approved by Apple for the iTunes store. You can also unlock the baseband so you can use iPhones on carriers that don't support iPhones by default (I think AT&T is the only one that supports them, at least here).
