JASS "Return" Problem

is there a problem with this function:

function h2i takes handle h returns integer
return h
return 0
endfunction

i have this function in my map, and everytime i save it an error always occur. the error is "invalid type for specified operator". what does it mean? then the "return 0" is highlighted. is there a problem with two returns? btw, i'm using 1.24b patch. pls help. thanks.

Well, a simple fic to that is replace it with this:

function h2i takes handle h returns integer
    call GetHandleId(h)
endfunction

i'll try that one. but how about the two returns? for example:

function ReturnUnit takes unit UNT returns unit
return GetUnitUserData(UNT)
return null
endfunction

and, is there a site discussing all about the "hashtable" in the WorldEditor and how to use it? what are handles for?
