Laptop Keyboad Not Responding Help

Strange story, my sister was messing around with her laptop and hit as many keys as possible. Now the computer is frozen, the mouse and keys do not respond to anything. I have probably restarted the computer 5 times. The only thing that I could find on the HP help website was to take out the battery and make sure that the memory card was in properly. Anybody have any suggestions?

it might be a virus. when booting try type f8 or f2 or something i had a virus that made the keyboard froze when my OS started but it worked fine if i pressed f2 and checked the settings-

fixed it. just removed the battery and put it back in
