Less laggy Mana Shield Model

Is there a way i could get a massable mana shield model that if i use about 30 or so of them on one screen, it wont take my fps from 32 to 14? would i need to extract it, use a mdl squisher, and import it or somthing? or is there a simple blue shield bubble of the same size and shape i could use?
