Life Snatch

Hi, im doing a spell of life-drain; "Life Snatch". It's mostley the same as the original but i want it to deal half the damage done on the caster. Ive tried to edit the spell as far as my knowledge goes in the object editor but the damage only works on targeted unit, not the caster.

Both object editor help and Trigger functions would i gladly accept.

what your doing is pretty hard, you need to make the damage become a integear and then remove half of it and deal 50% of the original to the caster right?

Well this could work for temporary, but then its a constant damage taken, as you may know life-drain is a channeling ability so for instance in my map; my "Life Snatch" does 200 damage per 2 seconds for 4.1 seconds. but the casters hp should not get lowered once (for example: what if you only cast for 2 seconds?).

Thanks for the link i think i get the picture about how im suppose to do, but that trigger is a little to hard for me to change to a more suitable function. (i know it's hard but that's why im here ne? ^^).
