Making things look Icey [and many other things =]

ok Well what i want is a tutorial to make things not look like they were just paintend and stuff. i want the colors not to look like a blob like for skins i want the colors to be with the skin ..idk how to explain it XD it's kinda weird. but i want it =]

learn to shade in black and white / using more white on the highlights and detail using black, also try to find a decent light source.

Light source? i get the black and white thing i guess =/ lol i'll work with it. =]

Heh i worked with the white and black thing it helps a lot =] i used the airbrush tool and lowered it's opacicy =] and i colored the orbs on the belt of the lich with that tool =] it works a whole lot makes the orbs look cool =] makes them look like orbs, not paint.
