Map Protection

I know all about WC3Optimizer, etc. But I need a way of protecting my map without using a third-party program. I heard you could simply import a notepad file, could anyone explain this. Or is there a better way (without other programs)?

Ummmmmm I GUESS you could try importing a blank txt file and rename it to war3mapunits.doo

But it's a better idea to get at least a mpq editor do you can remove the files themselves, instead of trying to rename something by importing it...

The easiest way is to open the map's mpq and delete files like war3mapunits.doo, or war3map.doo

Open the map with a mpq editor and there you go.

Why don't you want to use a different program?

Regardless of what you do, maps are always possible to get in to; if the game can run it, it's possible to open it in the WE.
