Missing Ability

I made a custom hero using Blademaster as my starting point.

The abilities I want him to have are Chain Lightning, Holy Light, Critical Strike and Tranquility.

Problem is when I test my game, Holy Light doesn't show up in the Abilities list to be leveled.

I've made sure it isn't conflicting with another abilities research or cast button locations, and I changed the activation key of Tranquility to R instead of T so that that doesn't conflict with it either.

I've searched all over these boards and can't figure out why it doesn't show up.

Can anyone help? What other information should I be providing for you?

Ok I tried swapping the Ability out with others to help narrow down the problem.

Works:
Blink

Doesn't Work:
Bash
Banish

I don't follow what the connection is here. Unless I'm limited to certain types of spells per hero. But I don't see any property that lists a spell as Offensive, Defensive, Escape, Disable, etc. So I don't see how that can be the case.

It most likely is order string, check the order strings of tranquility holy light and whatever the others are. Perhaps change the order string of holy light to something else like Channel.

There is a difference between the Order String and the Order ID. The Order ID is what the computer actually recognizes when the ability is cast. The Order String basicially does nothing. You can only change the Order ID of two abilities: Channel and Charge Gold and Lumber. (There might be another, but I don't know what it is.) I doubt that is your problem, though I admit, I have never encountered a problem like yours. It would help if you were to upload the map.

I'm not familiar with Order Strings. I'll try and read up on them.

In the mean time I'll attach my map.

Really appreciate the help.

It may have something to do with another problem I have, which is If you take any human Hero and drop them on map to test, you can't upgrade any of their abilities, even though they're default.

Well this is fuckin' mind-boggling, here. I can't for the life of me figure out the problem with it. I'll keep fuckin' around with it for a few minutes, but if I can't figure it out then I'm just gonna have to say sorry. :(

Well, I can't get it to work; however, Healing Wave works; you could either set that to one target and replace the values it heals and the mana cost, or you could simply drop holy lgiht altogether and just add healing wave, seeing as how there are plenty of warriors there fighting with you. Just a suggestion.

I dont' know how but I think the whole thing is just bugged.

Because if I start a new map and make the exact same hero, it works.

I swapped the ability with a working and am plugging away, but in the end if I need to I think I can just redo the map. - which I'll probably do anyway when I go to make it multi player.
