Depends on the bike. A new 125cc bike could cost few thousand euro, so in dollars that would be pretty much the same.
It's usually more expensive, as the engine gets bigger.
Used bikes are a good start if you're looking for a cheap starting motorcycle.

Nobody says nothing about new bike. It's even a waste of money to buy a new bike for the very beginner, first rain or wet ground and he will say hello to the surface. Unfortunately, but in a case of biking you need to come off your bike at least once to learn a respect for wet surface. My B-King Turbo is my first bike I bought from new and had Turbo done in BigCC. Before I had Yamaha Ybr125 for 2 years and ER-6n for 4 years.

He speaks the truth 110%. Also gotta remember upkeep is higher too when buying one.

I never came off my Er-6n or B-king. I did on YBR long time ago. I'd kill myself if I'd ever end up on the ground with my B-King :eek: Cost me too much money to even scratch it :D
